let's talk and ostile, thank you for providing such Dai-beauty.

Pics are gorgeous drunken drunken

I have to prepare myself not to faint when he comes on the ice.

A person who met Watanabe-san at SOI Osaka, wrote in her blog that Dai-chan was in good shape in Osaka and he successfully landed 3A during practice. So when I saw his 2A on the first day, I thought he tried 3A originally.. But he changed it to 3T from the second day. Anyway if he is in such a good shape, I'm happy but this isn't the place for him to push himself that hard.

Happy to learn Dai landed a 3A at SOI practice in Osaka. I did not know it. Believe me, I'm not complaining about him not doing a 2/3A in programs. Only sad if he still does not trust his knee. Dai could avoid jumps at all and still deliver a powerful, amazing and enchanting skate.

Thank you for all the latest news everyone.  I have to say that Dai's costume for Turn Off The Lights is quite unique.  I love the black material that's on his arms which makes the costume very cool.  I've been wondering if he designed it because it's so different.

Ilica, your power of suggestion has affected me.  I woke up this morning with the tune of Turn Off The Lights in my head which, of course, led to the image of Dai soaring across the ice.

Pattina, you can't faint on us.  We don't want you to miss a second of his performances.  Luckily, you will be with friends who will catch you if you can't contain yourself.  Safe and happy travels!

Here's a link to a few photos by NewinZurich with descriptors under each picture.  Dai was described as "extremely friendly and approachable" and "they were enthralled by his wonderful performances".  I'm so glad they invited him, and he accepted, as it will be an incredible and memorable experience for him (and the fans).

Hi guys!! Sorry to be late, but as I have no internet on my mobile I have to wait till I can connect via pc.

ilica thanks for all updates!!

Really, words falter when trying to "explain" what yesterday show was. Ostile, let's talk, miyu and others of you have already written here great reports, so please forgive me if this is so poor. Emotions are still a turmoil in my soul.

Let's start with the easiest thing to say: show itself was amazing to me. Skaters were involving and skated with passion. No one did less than the best. And I liked the music part very much, too.

Daisuke drunken  my heart was beating faster when I saw his tiny but perfect figure sliding in the dark to take starting position for Primavera Portena. I saw this program on video hundreds of times but it looked totally new to me. Although I was 8 row up from ice, as the venue is smaller than Zurig Hallstadion I could see his face very clearly when he skated towards me (short side opposite to stage). Passion, sensuality, involvement, smooth gliding at high speed..... we all wrote those things many many times here and this is really what you can see in videos but amplified 1.000.000 times.

Dai skates Piazzolla in first half - during the break I talked with the Swiss couple next to me. They were there mainly for Lambiel, of course, but they were amazed and stunned for Tango and had great words for "danceur" Daisuke. The man, who did not speak English, repeated "class class class..." and went crazy during Dai's fast layback spins (expecially the last one).

Take Off... forgot the first weak exhibition. Now it's a great, powerful, wild program with a wild Dai-chan skating... no.... performing and really being an "urban jungle animal". He masters the ice completely, gliding swifly and covering wide surface. Everybody was shouting louder and once again the couple next to me went crazy!!!

Meneater: great!! Dai is magnetic more than all others men. Just sitting  on chair or walking with hands on hips.... superb.

Finale: you know how he moves because he has music in his veins. Again the wilder of all cast, while pumping his fist up in time with Nelly aggressive music and he was having lot of fun!! You could see by his broad smile.  drunken  drunken

Great report Pattina! I am so happy for you and thank you for taking the time
to write your detailed report. I felt like I was there sitting right next to you cheering.

All of the press reviews that I read for AOI were great, a first rate show,
complimenting all of the skaters and the way they praise Dai-chan is music to my ears.

Lucky you with the ice level seats for tonight's show. Enjoy yourself and remember to
Breathe and not faint if Dai makes eye contact with you!

Did you see any fans from Japan in the audience?

Thank you for your report Pattina.  Like Shyla stated you did a great job for us.  I'm so very happy for you that you got to see Dai skate live.  I was glad to hear that you didn't mind the music, either.  I had a feeling it would grow on you by the time you reached your destination.  I'm sure it all felt surreal to you.  I'm thrilled to hear how your seat mates reacted to his skating. Only Dai can reach out and grab people through his movement.  I'm so excited that you are not only attending a second show but you have front row seats.  Enjoy each moment!

Good time of day, everyone! Long time no see. cheers  Had some hell of a work for last half of the year , but always tried to keep in touch with the forum and cannot thank you enough for all the photos, links &  translations, but most of all - for keeping the forum such  a warm & friendly place to learn something good about one wonderful person  I love you

But I couldn’t keep silent much more, because two days ago I managed to travel to Zurich  and what I can say that first rows are very very dangerous place to be  Very Happy. “Turn Off the Lights” is still before my eyes, in my ears & inevitably in my ipad (that was Dai always does to every piece of music he skates to.) Dai is moving like liquid, like a wild cat, yes , I think he got out of the song and choreography everything he could & I cannot imagine this music without him now, with any other visual. It  seems I got a little obsession drunken  – and no wonder I got it, when even stronger souls like certain professional dancers start tweeting about Dai with  exclamation points)) And Nelly definitely tried to keep Dai more on scene in the end to let him receive bigger applause (but he was always in a hurry to change for the next number, Maneater).

Initially I bought only one ticket (naive me), to the third row, but soon after the show understood it wasn’t enough  and got ticket for the next day on higher place, it was a good chance watch the show in other dimension – especially the lighting effects. The Tango got me the next day much more than the first, he was like a kiss of fire on the ice. It really just the nerves (or may be tiredness) that  got him in the first shows, he is definitely in a good shape (his SOI Caravan just couple weeks ago was  sharp, flirty and exciting like a sip of champagne:)

Pattina, wishing you a great night and exceptional first row experience! You report made me regret that I couldn’t  afford a week travel to Switzerland to all the cities in tour), especially to Lausanne and it beautiful surroundings. But greediness is a sin Smile  so I will be thankful for the chance I had and wishing you a great evening once again!

p.s. there were fans with Japanese flags and banners in Zurich and it seemed to me that when Dai was  stopping close to the first rows  in Nelly’s number he especially tried to cheer them.

the videos but it is always better to hear first hand from those who attended.

Glad to hear that there were banners and flags in Zurich for Dai-chan!

Thank you! Very Happy

Welcome back Jesse.  I'm so happy you also got to see Dai live, twice, and thank you for sharing your experience with us.  I see that Turn Off The Lights has gotten to you, too, and I'm not surprised.  I didn't even see the performance, in person, yet it's in my head.  That's so sweet that Nelly tried to give Dai more time to receive the applause he deserved so it's a shame he had to rush off to change.  It's incredible that he's the most energetic in Maneater when he's just finished his solo.  Oh Dai.  I wish you could skate forever.

Thank you for your greetings!  Great to be here. Very Happy  Reporting was an easy and happy job, the kind of impression you long to share with everyone.)

Shyla, I had a flag myself (which I took especially to remind one shy & diffident guy that he is strongly awaited and loved I love you ), but almost forgot to wave it, was busy clapping and catching every moment on the ice.)

Dancegirl, I like to rewatch Dai in Maneater, he looks like a pro dancer there and so into the rhythm.

Ilica, I personally always question animal prints in costumes  Very Happy , but this time it suprisingly didn’t bother me.) And I like the “sleeve” part, I definitely agree with Dancegirl on that.
(There were some costumes though in several group numbers both on ice and on scene that I could question, especially when you watch them close, not because they were “risky”, but because of the silhouettes and color matching - they could be less “busy” and more stylish, to my eye. That was one of the critiques I had to the show. The lights, the sound were on high level. Also I was impressed how the huge arena was fully booked both times, no empty places literally. By the way, the show I happened to be on Saturday afternoon was filmed and seems to be the one that is going to be aired some day.)

Thanks for the Primavera  photo, it's transferring the mood! I’m  so waiting for the video now after Pattina’s report - even on still photos here and on Facebook it looks like Lausanne Tango was skated in full Dai power. Smile

Hi everybody!!!  So happy to find many comments of happy and excited friends here! cheers

ilica, thanks for pics and links. Once again Dai shows us his artistic soul with nice shots of the place.

Second show... many things to say I don't know how to start.....

I can tell you that Dai is going better with each performance. I bet that Aunties in Davos will see the best of the best.

jesse.h glad to read you again and thank you so much for sharing your comments. Really really happy you managed to watch Dai twice in this great, great show.  Thanks for nice report  "like a kiss of fire on the ice" describes Dai perfectly.

Shyla yes, many Aunties are here in Lausanne - main part were in Zurich because of the organized tours from Japan  but a lot of devoted Aunties are still following Dai in his tour. I can't tell you how many banners or towels were in Lausanne (mine was there!!) but a lot! And Dai was so so happy - maybe he noticed them better because of the smaller size of venue and was able to get eye contact. His smiles to fans are broad and warm, really thankful.

Utako sensei follows Dai in this tour - indeed you can spot her in the pic, behind Dai and Nelly.

Yesterday show from first row was like sitting in a rocket flying up to stars!!! Everything was even more "on fire" with any skater and Dai-chan was hotter and wilder, unleashed panther on ice!!!

He and Nelly have great feeling, they stare at each other and flirts, he lips-sings with her and she slightly changes the rythm according to his skating. Yesterday it was like Dai creating the music while skating and she following him with lyrics.

ilica, thank you for posting link to yesterday show (and so many thanks to kind uploader  cheers  cheers )

Please, allow me to write on a more personal note: I'm so grateful to dear Aunties/friends from DTFF that are with me in those two-days trip. They helped me so much in many ways. And as a result yesterday my "impossible" dream came true: I met Dai-chan and had the chance to thank him, to tell him how much loved he is in Italy, how we long for him, wishing him to be happy... and all the things a fan says on this occasion. Maybe silly words but from heart.

He signed my copy of "BeSoul2" and posed for pics. He was really really nice and smart, smiling all the time and keeping eye contact while talking. We met him at the hotel and Utako was with him. Indeed Utako offered to take pics of Dai and Aunties.

I was in Heaven already all the day long, but a bit more happened at the show. At the venue Utako was sitting 3 seats far from me. She recognized and greeted me, smiling happy because of my D1SK towel.

Watch the video ilica posted: when Dai turns at 3:23 he is right in front of me!!! It happened so quickly: he noticed the towel, looked for eye contact, recognized me and gave me a broad smile drunken drunken . I do not know how I survived.

Have a nice Dai-day flower
