| So he will skate in the first group tomorrow.
He looked very nervous before he started.

| Not a good skate for Dai. I was expecting that the quad might give him trouble but all of his jumps were off. I think he got the highest PC's though. |

| 5 Worst that I expected. Dai laughed when he saw his score....somehow he seemed not to care too much or was it a bitter laugh??? Tatsuki did a great job !!! |

To my eyes, he failed to concentrate, got nervous and lost some strength during his skate. He looked even slower than usual... |

| Dai-chan's comment after SP. http://www.jiji.com/jc/zc?k=201310/2013101900125&g=spoAll the jumps don't fit me at all. (I'm sorry my English isn't good enough. I think he means he feels uncomfortable or uneasy with all his jumps right now.) The lack of confidence affected me in the real competition. I'd like to skate with all my strength in FP without thinking too much. Go Dai-chan! It is said he has changed his skating shoes to Graf from Edea recently. He wore Edea in FOI but Graf here. Probably JO was Graf. I don't know why he had to do it, though I'm sure he had the reason why he did. Do you remember he was limping during the NHK Trophy's press conference? Before SA started, he said the odds that he could make GPF was only 20%. At that time I just thought it came from his usual humbleness but now I think it's a bit weird. Only 20%? Does it mean he has any problems? ? |

| I tried to watch Ice Dancing, but couldn't concentrate at all. Thank you miyu for all the info. O dear, o dear... I was so scared after I had seen him limping And now... But maybe he just got nervous after seeing how confident Tatsuki's jumps are? I hope our rascals can say us something more. Ganbare Dai-chan!!! |

| ^Thank you miyu. Dai may be injured but he would never say. He also looked very thin to me.
Hopefully it was just a bad Short Program (those things happen) and he can put it behind him and focus on the FS. I do hope he is alright. I am trying to be optimistic but I am a bit concerned. |

I gave it up from the start. I will watch them later on youtube. - ilica wrote:

Probably. Anyway we all know Dai-chan is doing his best, what he can do right now, in Detroit, let's respect him and support him anytime, good or bad. While writing above I recalled that he kept saying after he arrived Detroit something like this, "I'm not in good shape. What I have to do is to do what I can do right now." So probably what he can do right now is less than what he can do potentially. - Shyla wrote:

Yeah, he is not a super man who wins everytime. Even we have to admit he is getting older as some naughty people say. But I think the important thing is that we understand how he always works hard to improve his skating, without any doubt. |

| Miyu, ilica and Shyla thank you for sharing this night (for my TZ). Apologize I dropped immediately after Dai's score...
Miyu, thank you for your information and warm words.
20% scares me, of course, but what hurts me more was Utako not by his side at K&C. I guess only one coach is a rule of SA, anyway I felt very very unconfortable.
Of course I am not happy of jumps, but Sonatina is a masterpiece and Dai conveyed emotions at highest level, as usual. He did not disappoint me, this is sure.
Now Dai-chan has a FS to perform and I am sure he will do it at his best, trying all he can do. And for sure our Captain ostile and all Rascals will do their best too, to cheer and support him, because he deserves it.
My support and my love are for Dai-chan, always. |

| Thank you miyu My fault because I did not watch video before. Streaming went down just when Dai left ice and returned two seconds before scoring, when Utako was not in the camera shoot. Now I am relieved And looking at Dai smiling always cheers up my heart and my day. Have you all a nice Dai-day |

| Just a quick hi from Detroit. I'm so sorry that our cheer didn't support him enough. You all know the result and even more. I wasn't following you and now I really have no time to read all, but the way I felt at the rink, he looked exhausted from within. I was terrified to look at his suffered face in the back after the morning practice, I was scared with the serious look of Watanabe san, usually so calm and reassuring, but Dai didn't look like worrying about how good others were. He seems to be too upset with himself and no room to look around. In other words, it was that serious. But he was focused with his own matter. And I felt that he is only looking forward to go on. Even the time like this, just like the title of the new book. So we also can follow that, without worrying about anything around or the past. We can jUst put all our heart to cheer and support. Thank you! |
