Hi, ostile17
I know what you said but you are too serious.
We has already known he will be in WTT because of his Kobe charity and ISU rules that Shyla mentioned above.
Daisuke thinks charity so serious and he knows if he were not paricipated with Kobe charity, it would be hard to keep going on.
As you know, he is the only Japanese skater who has hosted a charity event.

Ok, then I apologize! Smile

Maybe seeing him struggling for a week was a bit too much for me! Will go back to my corner and stay there until I can be more positive. silent

Thank you Leode, for schedule. I have read that ISU channel is going to stream the event live and for free, but unluckily, due to time zone I will not see first 2 days, being at work. No

No live Dai-chan for me, this time Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

And on Sunday morning a very early wake up......but Dai deserves this...and much more Very Happy

To all skaters my best wishes for a gorgeous WTT: may they all have fun and give plenty of emotions to fan all over the world. sunny

GO DAISUKE - Ganbare cheers

Thanks, ilica, for the clip and for understanding my feelings.

For Worlds I managed to take 2 days leave at work and was able to stay awake up to 2/3 in the morning, both for SP and FP. Sleep

But this time....I fear that seeing our beloved boy skating live would not be enough reasonable justification for my bosses Laughing

As for the clip, as usual I don't understand a single word (a part from his name), but he is sooooooooooo cute (hot is better) to look at I love you above all when he smiles and laughes.

I wonder what was so funny to make everybody laugh, but as he did a lot....good for us watchers. Cool

News video with Dai's Interview ~~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxAsodqZ27I

The first half was rather silly interview, talking about girls. But I like Daiís sense of humor, so I laughed a lot in spite of my busiest morning time Laughing .
And the interviewer said he was getting embarrassed because Dai answered every question so honestly Wink .

Followings are the some of the silly part (if something wrong, please correct my English, being afraid to cause any misunderstandings or make Daiís image worse... No );

Interviewer: Itís a sudden question but what kind of girl do you like?
Dai : Iím often said the girl I like is a little bit punky-type... I donít think so. But as the looks, I think I like the girl whose between eyes is wide a little.

I : For example?
D: Ai Tominaga... and Sarina Suzuki (see the pictures). Anyway, I like who looks determined.

I : I think you are the one who waits till the girl comes to tell you that she loves you, arenít you?
D: I donít know... let me see... surprisingly, Iím the first to tell.

I : Oh! You are active for that, right?
D: Surprisingly... I myself feel strange but sometimes I can do more than I thought. But Iíve never asked for a date so casually(laugh).

I : Which is more successful, land a Quad or get an OK?
D: Both are not so successful, but Quad is much better, I think..., though I donít have a situation to ask for a date quite a long time...

I remember Dai said that Meryl Davis was so beautiful before I love you .

But who on earth could reject his offer... I love you .

Thanks, masy, for translation Smile

OK, it may be silly, but I was getting a bit tired of recent interviews/press conferences all focused on his recent failures at 4CC and Ws.
Do not get me wrong, I was not tired of him beeing interviewed, but of those stupid questions: everyone could imagine how he feeled, why asking him on and on? Evil or Very Mad

Something funny that makes him laugh and smile...what a joy to see him in this mood sunny

The guest speaker is the judge, Ms. Okabe.

I hope she is not the one who gave under-rotation on short at Japanese nationals, Mad

Hi there all :-)

Thank you very much for the links and your information on the WTT :-)

It is good to see Daichan smile and laugh!

Let's cross our fingers for him next week that he will be able to perform the way he would love to :-))

I might be able to watch on Friday only, the timing is bad for Europeans :-( I need to work and cannot take time off from work ... but I will nevertheless cheer Daichan on :-)))

ostile17, I totally understand your feelings!!! It is hard to sit back and watch what is going on ... but it is Daichan's world, Daichan's decisions ... as far as he can make decisions when being part of such a system ... we need to accept it somehow ...

Cheers
Gudrun.

Your welcome, Shyla.

This link showed just a bit of Dai, but the below is the rough translation re Dai's part.

Male host: Well, Daisuke does not need any introduction. He is the number one who represents Japan.

Ms. Okabe " His strength is his overall program. He is the most expressive. Please pau attention to that. Also, when he lands quads, he really touches audience heart so much.

Male host. " I know that he came back from ACL injury. It was so serious, much more so in figure skating, because skaters use knees so much for jumping. I was very impressed that he came back only after one year.He is marvelous.

That's it.
All I want to say to judges right now is that they really need to start to reward artistry. I am almost always shocked that Dai's PCS are lower than Chan Who skates like a robot!!( Sorry, I am not a fan of his.)

At world's even Fernandes and Dennis's pcs were higher than Dai Evil or Very Mad

All commentators say something like," Dai is the most popular skaters in the world." or " He always has audience in the palm of his hands" That is very very true. But where is the reward for that Rolling Eyes

I really wish that judging should pay much more attention to artistry not only for Dai, but the for everybody who can touch audience hearts. The future of the figure skating, that is a beautiful combination of art and sports depends on it Exclamation

I agree about the judging. IMO it is disgusting. It has been unfair not only to Dai
but other skaters as well.

Thank you for the information, Captain.

Dai-chan atteded the afternoon practice today.

According to TV Aasahi's twits,
https://twitter.com/figureskate5ch/status/321874142498537472
https://twitter.com/figureskate5ch/status/321874882310860801
He landed 4T and Mao and Akiko who were watching the men's practice clapped their hands. He said "I got jumps back, up to 3A. What still remains is quad."

But According to Asahi news paper's twits,
https://twitter.com/asahi_sports/status/321863722140323840
https://twitter.com/asahi_sports/status/321867953601642496
He couldn't jump 3A smoothly and asked the coach (coachs? I don't know if Morozov is there) for advice. He attempted quads a few times and two of them could be ratified.

So his 3A is back or not??? drunken

I will go to see WTT on Thursday and Friday, only Men SP and FP. Anyway I don't expect much this time. If I can see him smiling or enjoying the competition, it's enough for me. Embarassed

BTW, someone asked before, who is the skater who has a good skating skill when we see him live. Other than Dai-chan, I think it's Jeremy Abbott. I have seen him skating twice before and he impressed me a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing his both SP and FP in WTT.
Regarding Patrick, as you know I'm a kinda Chan praiser (I don't think he is an artist but his skating itself is very special.) , but I wasn't impressed much when I saw him live at the first time in WTT last year. Probably I just had too much expectation. So I'm looking forward to seeing him again to see how I feel this time, as well.

It's back because Daisuke said that.
We all know that he has a harsh standard of himself so if he says that's O.K., that's really okay.

anyway, I told you that I was impressed by Han Yan's skating and more surprised by his PCS at 4CC.
Han has almost same skating style with Patrick.
miyu, watch carefully han's skating, you would be surprised.

Have a great time at WTT miyu. It is a fun competition so I know that Dai and the other skaters will enjoy themselves no
matter where they place.

Team Canada and Team USA look strong. Team Japan is strong in the Singles but has no pairs team and their Ice Dance Team
is not as good as the other entrants.

Han Yan is a very good skater.

Team Japan is really like a family.

Have fun let's talk and I look forward to your reports! Give a shout out to Dai

I have been looking for the ISU link to watch but cannot find it. Maybe it is not up yet.

Shyla, the ISU stream will be here: http://livemanager.eurovision.edgesuite.net/isu/site/index.html

Results here: http://www.isuresults.com/results/wtt2013/

Dai will be the captain. Actually orginally all captains were men except Ashley. I think that was the main reason why Brian stepped out and gave the lead to Vanessa James. lol!

Morozov is not there, judging by the photo: https://twitter.com/irenissi/status/321961794895749120/photo/1
