He will skate beautifully tomorrow, but 9 pts is quite a lot!
But Daisuke's PCS will be though the roof? Because he's artistic, and YuZuru -- they seem to think -- isn't quite, yet.

Well, in SA Yuzuru ended in 1st after SP, with Takahiko many points behind him.

Yuzuru hasn't skated 2 clean programs back to back this season yet (but that can change tomorrow).

I don't know. I can't predict the future.

Would love to see the protocols, too!

It may as well, I don't care any more. Sad I've watched Dai's SP, and haven't seen anything to justify the low score...

Dai SP was wonderful. Loved it. His 3A was excellent to my eye. The 4T did look UR to my eye. Where are the protocols?????

At the very end of the video they're mentioning an underrotated 4T.
His spins & steps levels and GOEs may have suffered too. A point here, a point there, and voila -- he's lost 5-6 ponts total.

Yes, the spins were a bit messy too! He was really tense! All and all, a sloppy skate from Daisuke. Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

I did not see anything sloppy about his SP. Some minor mistakes but Dai is not a sloppy skater. Of course he could have scored more points
if he focused more, but he is in 2nd place with a decent score, that does not translate sloppy to me.

Sorry, maybe I've used the wrong term: many minor and not so minor mistakes here and there, not up to Dai's standards to me. Spins were not clean as they have been lately, 4T UR, edge call on Lz, steps not very crisp, I wouldn't call that a good skate! And I'm happy he's second, and I hope that tomorrow he can win, still not a good performance today, imo!

^I understand ostile and I am sure Dai would agree with you.

I just try to see the good in his performance and not focus on the negative that way
I don't get to disappointed if Dai does not win a competition and I can keep my sanity. Smile
