| Hi there
I must say I am sooo impressed by Yuzuru Hanyu's short programme today. Did anybody see it as well? It is unbelievable what this young man is capable of! He absolutely put his heart into it :-) He is second right now and tomorrow he will show his long programme. Something to look forward to ...
Nobunari Oda seemed to be in a very good mood and I also enjoyed his programme - fantastic jumps! Only the music was not my cup of tea ...
Cheers Gudrun. |

| Yuzuru delivered under pressure. He's extremely talented. He's got a bright future ahead of him But I also thought Jeremy Abbott's highest PCS of the group was totally deserved Go Yuzuru! Go Jeremy! I'm happy I could be helpful, Genki. |

| Hi there
What a competition the men skating was in China! Unbelievable! It was all sooo close! And it was sooo dramatic as well!
You are right hsuhs that Yuzuru was under pressure and if he had had some more experience he would have just dropped some jumps. The German commentators were also very shocked and said it was like a stab into the heart! *sighs
But Yuzuru is still very young and I am sure he is on the right way :-) I just love watching him skate, so elegant, smooth, lovely jumps with great hights etc. :-)
Nobunari is also such an excellent skater and I am happy for him and his family that he came second :-) And I love his hair cut, it suits him soooo well :-)))
Jeremy might be shaking his head right now since he couldn't have thought that this might happen :-) Third in the short programme, starting third and coming out first :-)
Artur who was soo good in the short programme just was soo bad in the long programme and came 5th. Unbelievable. But Jeremy is a really nice and smooth skater, very good in interpreting the music! He definetely deserves it, you are absolutely right hsuhs :-)
Cheers Gudrun.

| Jeremy I enjoyed many free skates today, even though they were not perfect. It's understandable this early in the season. Yuzuru will be fine, I'm sure. If only he tried a different choreo next year. (The same goes for Nan Song). Nobunari Oda did very well today. His 2nd place is the highest placement among Japanese men in GP, so far. Congratulations to all the medalists |

| Jeremy's program brought tears to me. This is the reason why I watch figure skating, not high jump or something. IMO, Jeremy and Abbot are only two skaters who gave me shivers.
congrats!!! |

| You took the words out of my mouth, Genki!
Jeremy's free skate left me stunned and deeply moved.
The other skater whose skating has a similar effect on me, is Daisuke.
Eurosport 1 will show Gala today at 12:00 CET, live.

| Hi there
I am very much looking forward to seeing the gala today :-)
As you two said, Genki and hsuhs, Jeremy's programme touches the heart, there is so much emotion in his programme - especially the scene when he touches the ice with his hand and moves his hand towards his heart - stunning!
It would be very sad if there were only skaters out there who do technically well but nothing else comes across ... We are lucky that there are skaters like Daisuke and Jeremy ... :-)
Cheers Gudrun. |
