Your welcome panther! Very Happy

Here's a fan report (in Japanese) and photos (scroll down):

http://naabo.exblog.jp/15926743

AFAIK, Prince Ice World is one of the fan-friendliest ice shows: they allow fans to take pics of the skaters and have those improvised meet & greet's in the end.

And here's a slide show from the same event:

Hi there
I think it is no wonder he looks tired! I am surprised he skated at all. But that's probably because of promises/contracts or whatever. I wish him a really good relaxing time, it is soo important to have breaks to be able to gather new strength. And then I wish him to pick the right music which his body can perform best to and a lovely coreography which he - first of all - enjoys to perform most :-))))

Sorry, don't know how to open a new string since this is something different.

Here is a very beautiful picture of Dai and Nobunari Oda - enjoy!

Thanks, Gudrun, is that banquet at the Worlds or something else, I don't understand.

The next show, if I understood correctly, on May 14. So he will be able to relax a bit. And then (in May) he will have surgery.

In one of the blogs I read that in the first show in Japan Daisuke jumped 4F and 3A-3Lo.
Has anyone found any video of this show?

Yesterday, May 7, Daisuke participated in yet another show, benefit for East of Japan Earthquake Relief.

Here's a tiny off-ice photo of him and other skaters:

Hello Hsuhs

Thank you so much for the links, very nice to see what the skaters are up to right now :-)

They try to help in whatever way they can - great. I am impressed that Mao and Takahiko plan to skate for people in the affected area (and free of charge). Perhaps it would be a nice distraction for the people for a little while ....

Cheers

Judging from the photo with several bouquets, there are gifts from organizers.

P.S. I understand that Takeshi and Nobunari have injuries. Is that so?

I couldn't find the video either, panther No

The caption says the bouquet is from a fan (from fans).
I remember Leode once went to a show (?) and gave Daisuke flowers like those in the photo, from this very forum, from all of us.

I understand that Takeshi and Nobunari just didn't come to perform, I'm not sure about the injury part even though Google mentions 'wound' in its translation.

Oh, I'm very glad that Japan fans gave to all skaters such luxury flowers. Smile

And it's so sad that the Japanese show rarely appear on yutube. No

That touching Honda and Oda, my Google translates as injury, but I hope this is the wrong translation.

Looks like Google was right about the injury, panther.

I just saw this link on fsu:
http://mdn.mainichi.jp/mdnnews/sports/news/20110515p2g00m0sp005000c.html

Nobunari is indeed injured. Wishing him a quick and smooth recovery.

I hope Honda-san is okay.

Hi there

I am back from Berlin, and already on the train I was looking forward to reading all new information on Dai :-) Thanks for sharing.

It's a pity Oda Nobunari is injured but I think if he really rests he'll be fine again soon.

Funny, though, that they choose to have a practice camp in Sochi this September. I imagine Sochy just looking like a huge construction site right now. It wouldn't be a pleasant surrounding. Let's see, perhaps we'll see some photos later.

Gudrun.

Thank you for the video, panther! Very Happy

I also found a longer version of it and watched it as well. In that second video they talk more about that little girl skater. If I understand correctly, the girl comes from Sendai (Shizuka Arakawa's home town as well), and the ice rink where she used to train is temporarily closed because of the damage caused by the earthquake. The girl and her friends prepared a group number for the show and also got to meet their idols, Daisuke and Shizuka. It's so moving to see.
