In English he said like this about Daisuke:

"He has a certain drive which makes him to try things that no one had done before.

"No one before did a quad Flip, I saw him in training, he even completed it, it is true that during that long program they only counted it as incomplete, that it ended on two feet and the landing was not clear

"but even the fact that he included the quad Flip as a last competitor, even when it was clear to him that he perhaps will get a medal if he does reasonably well in the free skate

"but he still went for it, that really means a lot to me, he really deserved that title because it was not only about those jumps, it was more about skating, he is so brilliant with the choreography, I don’t think that even Evan can interpret the choreography during the performance as well as Daisuke.
