Did not see that coming at all! Shocked I was looking forward to seeing Jeff's programs this season. All the best for Jeff in the future! The men's competition definitely won't be the same. Sad

Wow! I am shocked by the news of Jeffs' retirement.
Just when Canada was making progress on climbing out of its' 'slump' on the skating scene.

1st - Dubrueil & Lauzon (Dance)
2nd- Jeffrey Buttle (Mens')

Who's next? I wonder.

This is making me sad & fearful for Can. skating.

That's true.... I have believed all of the current top contenders in the men's field would keep going till Vancouver....
But two years is long. Something unexpected might happen. Oh, please don't!!! Neutral Neutral

Thank you for the information, swandie.
I was very shocked and sad about this!! Sad It's really too early retirement for him until Winter Olympics Vancouver.

I respect that he made a decision by himself, however, Worlds 2008 was last time I saw him....Ummm.

Anyway, good luck and best wishes to Jeff!! I hope to see you at the galas next time!!
